Master thesis that deals with the design of a permanent magnet motor for electric vehicles.
In this master thesis, an analytical model for surface mounted PM-motors is derived and verified with finite element analysis. Special attention is paid to the iron losses as they influence the performance. For more details, please refer to the pdf-file embedded below.
